Spring is here..sort of

It's been about 6 month since I've posted on here. I'm so horrible about doing this, but I'm gonna try and do better. Anyways, its now April 12, Easter. After going thru an ice storm, a spring snow and lots of rain, the Hatmaker family is ready to see what God has for us the rest of the year. Today was the last of our 3 Days event at church. This event spanned 3 Sundays re-telling the story of Jesus' Compassion, Sacrifice, and Triumph during his short life here on earth. The cast and crew were absolutely great. More importantly, the message was heard loud and clear. This weekend we had 3 services at our FBCS campus and 3 services at our CPH campus. Alone at the FBC campus, we had around 5,000 people attend combined over 2 days, with 30+ new believers. AMAZING!!! God is good!

We also did our Easter stuff with Sarah and Ethan on Saturday because it was really pretty outside, and the fact that today, it has rained all day long and not warm at all. So below are a couple of pictures from their day.

Earliest cold day in November I can remember

Today was the coldest day in November this early that I can remember(IF THERE WAS ONE, SOMEONE PLEASE JOG MY MEMORY)

Kristy, Ethan, Sarah and I went into Springdale and braved the bitter cold and blustery winds and had our pictures taken by Annie Pursley. She suggested we take them in Harbor Meadows cause its always really nice looking there especially this time of year. We were a little worried that Sarah wouldnt co-operate with us because of it being so cold but she did pretty good.

We werent the only ones that had the same idea. Josh and Kate Floyd were also there with the kids taking pictures as well. It's a popular place nonetheless.

We cant wait to see the pictures and get to print them out and pass them out to the family.

When we got home and got the kids a nap, we took them out in our backyard and piled up some leaves and let Sarah jump in them and let Ethan play in them as well. Check out the pics below.
(PICS ARE KIND OF GRAINY BUT THEY'RE CUTE ANYWAYS)
Speaking of Josh above, Shiloh Christian won their final regular season game last night, putting them 9-1 on the season, and without a loss in conference. This places Shiloh in the playoffs as the #1 seed and will have a bye on Nov. 14th. GO SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!

Halloween 08

Well its our first Halloween in NWA and Ethan's first overall. When we were in Branson a couple of months back we went to the Disney store there and found them their costumes. Ethan went as Super Sleuth Winnie The Pooh, and Sarah went as Minnie Mouse. They looked too cute as you can see from the picture below.
We didnt really know anyone in Siloam Springs, so Kristy took the kids to my Aunt and Uncles house closer to Tontitown, and some of the houses up and down their road. So the kids got some candy. Kristy then drove over to the church where I was working the football game and I got to see the kids in their outfits and we took a couple of pictures.

Dont they look so cute? Now its full steam to Thanksgiving, and on to some duck hunting.

Oh yea, Ethan has cut his second tooth, next to the other one on the bottom.

Abbreviated Update of some things

This past week the Hatmaker family purchased our first Van. Kristy has been asking for one for a little while and we felt it was the right time. Sarah seems to like it pretty good...so does Kristy.

We also witnessed Ethans first tooth breaking thru his bottom gum. I got a quick picture of it while sitting at Oseguera's the other day. Today I learned that the father of my best friend from High School passed away. I have yet to hear back from them on what was the cause but if everyone could, please pray for my friend Josh Allen and his family.

New Things

Here it is October 2nd. Well into fall and all of a sudden, Thanksgiving is upon us. We have taken Sarah out of the Pre-school that she first started in and have put her into another one that is actually with the Siloam School District and is at the Elementary School that she will be attending next year. She really likes her teacher and we believe this is the right choice.

I have just gotten back from a 5 day trip to Canada hunting Ducks and Geese. It's always a treat to go to different places for hunting trips. Hopefully I'll get to hunt here in the state on the weekends when season kicks in middle of November.

Kristy and the kids are going to Hot Springs this weekend while I stay here attending a few things. We normally go down once a month so she can cut her families hair and let the grandparents see the kids. Occasionally, I have to stay behind, and this is one of those times.

Thats it for now, and I'll try and keep this thing updated better.

Fall is here...in more ways than one

Well even though its the middle of August, you could swear that its already Fall. Kids are going back to school, and believe it or not, its not hot anymore. Today in Rogers, it was right at 79 degrees. You read it right, 79 degrees. WHERE DID SUMMER GO? We only had a couple of weeks where it was really hot this summer. However, I am grateful that its no longer hot...the dog days of Summer...well they just came and wimpered away with their tails tucked. I might be eating my own words in a few days, but only time will tell.

It's a scary time as well for the Hatmakers in NWA. Sarah is 4 years old. That means she starts Pre-School. We found one for her here in Siloam Springs at the last minute. It's a pretty good one to. Kristy will also be going to work for them as well. So Ethan will go to their daycare too.

You know I say its a scary time, but its not really. It's sad, but a delight. Seeing my daughter grow up has been a blessing. Now as she is old enough to start school, my only wish is that time would slow itself down. But I know that it will just keep going by faster and faster.

God has blessed me in so many ways. I thank him everyday for my family and the times I get to spend with them.

Pics will be posted soon of Sarah's first day of Pre-School.
